The 70 trials of Jews in this period, by the Inquisition, devastate multiple Jewish communities through the imposition of debilitating fines. The king considered the Jews to be his property and he did not want inquisitors interfering with them. So one recourse that Jews had was to try to get the king's attention and have the king right to the inquisitor to tell him to cease and desist from prosecuting them. But it almost happens in this case, but it leads, it leads to nothing because in spite of these efforts, the case just continues.
