Blumhouse shares a lot of DNA with Roger Korman's company, but the two companies don't share much. The biggest difference between Blumhouse and Korman is almost all of his movies were done by first-time directors. Hollywood puts an enormous amount of emphasis on a director's last movie. Even if a director's done three great movies, it's more difficult for him or her to get a job than it should be.
