texas senator john whipmyr effectively ended an 87 year tradition with one letter. Whitmire called brewer's last meal an act of manipulation and said that no death row inmate prior to execution should be catered to. Inmates receiving capital punishment in texas now eat whatever's on deck in the menu that day that other prisoners eat.
