It's Raining, You Know?
Japanese counting words are actually quite different from English counting words. If you put a set of things in front of them, they tend to group them by shape. So we say it's raining, meaning that there are drops of rain falling. And that's what we care about. Just want to know whether I need my umbrella today or not.
