Are Ad Hominem Fallacies Getting More Common?

I see there are some questions coming in and I'll put as many as I can to Stephen but it's my prerogative to ask a couple more. There was one observation that really caught my attention in the book Stephen, where you talk about three similar fallacies. All of which are basically disagreeing with an idea because of who is putting the idea forward or that the intellectual history behind the idea sometimes goes hand in hand with certain other things. So granted, maybe this is just a mistaken impression driven by anecdotes.
