The Compton is an American variant of the Piero, first popularized in New York City. He seeks to take up as much space on the stage as possible but is filled with profound loneliness when he has done so. Although wealthy and ostensibly high class, his status among the other characters is low, unless they seek his favor for plot purposes. Violet Allen's work is very referential and funny and dark.
