The Importance of Memory

Augustine says that our memory contains a vast amount of reality, infinitely more reality than just our present perceptions. And this is how memory for him is really the kind of place where reality in some sense lives or most of reality lives. He's speaking to his mind, he says it's within you, I measure times. Do not make me stumble with time exists and do not make yourself stumble because of the turmoil of your own impressions.
