The Teamsters Are Electing Their International Leadership

The union was forced to have more rank and file democracy in voting for their union representatives after federal investigations into the union. The teamsters do have a system where the membership is able to directly elect their international leadership, which is something that, you know, not every union has. There's multiple layers here, right? There's both the what you heard from workers that we were deemed essential. We've been working our butts off. We're doing na like overtime. And there's also an important non strike related struggle that happened this year that is part of the overall picture we're talking about.
