Is There a Difference Between Traditional and Modern Music?
As a kid, I was really into the Irish traditional fiddle style. So from that my ears were very much connected to this traditional Irish sound. American old time stuff sounded really rough and clumsy to me. But again, it was in the background that my parents sang, played band, and stuff. And yeah, it was just an osmosis happening, even if I consciously wasn't that drawn to it.
