James Bond - The Bond Movie Review
Co-production status had an interesting knock on when it came to the casting of the film. Hugo Drax was originally going to be played by British actor James Mason. Stuart Granger, Louis Jourdan and Michael Lonsdale were all considered. Richard Keel returned because that wasn't originally the plan in The Spy Who Loved Me. Blanche Ravalick got a break in the role of Dolly as she is significantly smaller than Keel. Lewis Gilbert has been lured back to 007 to direct the spy who loved me.
