The Importance of Open Access to Papers
One thing that's often overlooked about the whole open science movement, and I don't think we even discussed today, is open access to papers. For most people, accessing a paper is not straightforward, especially if not currently enrolled in university or working in university. It makes for a much more transparent process that can result in more trustworthy papers. There are a lot of tools and tools in the open-sized toolbox, but you don't have to use all of them at once.
