The war on the ground is really positional at this stage, it's not a maneuver fight. The reason Russian aircraft are still taking losses to manpads is because of the sheer number fired. But I think the likelihood is probably that the deep airspace in Ukraine will remain pretty dangerous for Russian aircraft as long as you have these Western systems.
