The Cancer Doesn't Change James's Personality
I know that people can grow and change, especially after a cancer diagnosis. But in this case, the cancer did not change James's personality at all. And if anything, the cancer has just made him more entitled. While having cancer is absolutely terrible and unfair, I don't think it means the world owes him something. It's like he's using Hailey as a carer and then trying to dip into other people for whatever he's looking for because he's a selfish person. If he didn't have cancer, would you say, yep, just tell him, fuck up his life? He's an asshole.
