The Yardbirds first single was a version of Billy Bionald's, I wish she would. Eric Clapton was unhappy with the record because it made him realise how thin they sounded as players. The group were just about to go into the studio to cut their second single when Keith Ralph collapsed. Runny Wood has recalled being a gig and the audience being asked can anyone play Harmanica? Other people who played a gig or two include Mick Jagger, Brian Jones and Rod Stewart. Paul McCartney played them in Yousong he was working on which didn't have lyrics yet but which would soon become yesterday.
