Women and the Women Question in the New Creation
Paul usually gets a bad press on the question of women and slavery well yes that there are obviously different issues. The crucial passage is Romans 16 where when Paul has written what I would describe as probably the greatest letter ever written namely Romans he entrusts it to a woman named Phoebe who is a deacon in the church in kang krei. In John 20 when Jesus is raised from the dead and Mary Magdalene meets him Jesus does not say Mary please will you go and get Peter because I've got something really important to tell him which he's got to do.
