The Role of EEG in Fish Sleep

This is the most species-rich group of herbits and probably the least studied for sleep. They noted things like certain hogfish and rass that when lifted from the water by handlers they were able to be lifted so that sure does seem like a sleep on fish because you're not freaking out. Very few have been studied with EEGs because it's tricky. Some show distinct EEG patterns whilst others showed no patterns which means that most of our observations with fish is just anecdotal.
