The Importance of Oral Storytelling in Mormonism
There is not a single contemporary account that talks about the Transfiguration of Brigham Young ever happening. And so Van Wagoner says, since these things are myth and our church has permitted them to be perpetuated, we should cast further doubt or at least skepticism on their origin. Orson Hyde lying again, maybe it's not intentionally lying, but he wasn't even talking when talk was being given in general conference.
