How Sound Can Be Used to Rebuild Coral Reefs
The first time we went diving and seeing the damage of the bleaching event, I mean, this must have been caused for celebration. It was a really nice example of how doing science that helps us to better understand these systems can lead to solutions that help us to better protect them. The sound really is a very key part of their life. And so it makes sense that they would have evolved to use sound as a dominant sensory source. But sometimes it's still difficult for us in the way that we're trapped as such visual creatures.
