i am very sad about a the general declinein in the humanities focus of students, mostly because my own view is that without the humanities, you'll never know what the right thing to is. The world doesn't stop because you're not asking the normative questions. And one of the things that humanityes and the humanistic social sciences cause people to realize That there are alwaysNormative Questions.
