There are a number of systematic reviews and meta-analysis that kind of give us this range for ergogenic or performance-enhancing dose of caffeine. If you weigh 220 pounds or 100 kilos, that's 300 to 900 milligrams of caffeine about 30 to 45 minutes before whatever task you're trying to improve performance on.
