Was It Difficult to Not Speak in English?
Initially the work was educational and humanitarian, not relategto languages. When we went to congo there, language became the goal. It was part of our our job to develop tools for the local languages. Yet, algastid togetherwe always spoke in english. But as soon as you get outside, any other interaction was in other languages. So we were forced to learn other languages very quickly.
