Being endo thermic is a key feature of mammals and birds, as well as possibly some other extinct groups. Inside the inner ear are structures called semicircular canals. These are loopy little tubes inside of our inner ear. In life, they are filled with fluid that flows through them. And these structures are essential for things like navigation and spatial awareness.
