The Miscalculations of Vladimir Putin
A lot of people have looked at the first few weeks of this war in Ukraine and estimated that Putin miscalculated. He believed wrongly that the Ukrainian population wasn't really a nation, he says. And so he looks like an idiot, but in fact, if you held the same assumptions that he held, then the strategy kind of made sense.
