What's the Best Case Scenario?

After a nineteenth century in which so many young jews had spent so much energy trying to become what the russians said they wanted them to become, some were tired of backing down. There's a poem by a zionist jew named mnam balic who felt less anger at the pogramists than he felt disgust and shame over their cowering victims.
