How to Diagnose a H Pylori Infection
It's becoming more difficult to eradicate h pylori secondary to antibiotic resistance. Antibiotics should be discontinued for four weeks and PPI's for two weeks before urea breath or stool antigen testing. Circling back to chatting about NSAIDs if your patient must be on them, code minister a PPI or H2 blocker,. Substitute a COX2 inhibitor like cellococcib for the NSAID to decrease the risk of PUD.
