How Much Blood Is Too Much?
People lose about 40 mils of blood on average during a period. But if people are in the top 10% of heavy menstrual bleeding, they'd be losing over 80 mils per cycle. That's similar to the contents of one large hen zig. If someone is bleeding so heavily that they can't do the things that they want to do, then it's too heavy.
