The D in D Gottlieb and Company
David Gottlieb was the son of Lithuanian Jews who immigrated to the United States. He worked in his father's garment business for a time, but really wanted to be a salesman and strike out on his own. The 1920s was kind of a growth period for the coin-op industry. In the early 20s, he ended up relocating to Texas as a salesman.
