The Impact of the Real Terms Pay Cut on Junior Doctors
The BMA published results were surveyed before Christmas. They show the impact that the real terms pay cut has had on doctors and also worrying figures about future career intentions. Half of junior doctors have struggled to pay their rental mortgage, half have had difficulty paying energy bills during the past year. Four in 10 junior doctors plan to leave the NHS as soon as they can find another job. Poor pay and working conditions being among the top reasons for them wanting to leave.
