Bushbanks' Dilemma

We really don't know much about her life between 19 15 19 20. After marrying anthony banks, she eventually moved to chicago where he got a job as a pullman porter. At some point, bushbanks started splitting her time between ch Chicago and new york. Over the 19 twenties and early thirties, she wrote aunt viney's sketches. This is one of the earliest examples of this type of dialect racter written by a black writer. She also wrote a three act play titled indian trails, or trail of the montak.
