What's Going on in Genesis 33?
The end of the chapter of Genesis 33 seems to be pretty subtle and full of details about exactly the ways that their paths diverged. Jacob knows presumably what his brother has been up to, you know, between marrying hit tight women and not following the way that the Lord has has decreed that he ought to follow. So it's as though Moses wants to mark that what Jacob vowed and what he sought there at the end of chapter 28 is now being realized as he comes to peace in Shechem.
