i'm afraid it's somewhat more complicated than that. But so my friends had problems with their fathersfor variety reasons, generally because they weren't attended to enough by them. There was a more generic problem, sort of with a cinic sm about society at large. It made it very difficult for us to participate avidly in the sorts of social endeavours that might have provided a certain amount of well activity and also a certain amount of community. And like, i don't know, maybe in the 19 fifties people were just as bloody cynical about boy scouts as they were in the 19 seventies,. although i doubt it, butbut it's possible.
