Is There a Connection Between Parenting and Relatedness?
The streets of this country used to sing with the sound of children playing, right? When i was growing up, we came home from school and we would play. But to day, you don't see that any more. And then there's a few reasons. Number one, the media has scared the crap out of people that parents think, strangeer, danger. It's not safe for them to go play. Even though this is the safest time in american history to be a kid. The second reason is that we over schedule. There's no time any more for kids to just be kids and play. So that sense of relatedness is gone. They don't have that time
