Ted bunty abducted and murdered college aged women on university campuses, in alleys and hitch hiking off the inner state. Police noted that each victim was white, young, attract tive and had long brunette hair parted down the middle. Across the northwest, young women started bleaching their hair blonde in a desperate attempt to avoid the same fate.
