Ezekiel's Mouth Is Opened to the Fugitive
Ezekiel had been rendered mute, save for those occasions when the lord opened his mouth to deliver a message. The chronology is perplexing here, as the twelfth year might seem to date this about a year and a half after the fall of jerusalem. By opening the mouth of ezekiel in the evening, at the very start of the day on which the fugitive came, there was an advanced warning,. In verses 21, 22, we see the prophecy that was made coming to pass.
