The Importance of the Church in a Single Parent's Life
The church was very much a stabilizing influence in my life when I was young. It provided all the answers and it provided a lot of comfort with that idea, like you're saying, that I'd get to see both my parents at the end of my life. The community that a church can just mean so much to a single parent family with your kids. And actually, too, there was a lot of really great men in the war that I grew up in that kind of took me under their wing.
