What's the Future?

In the 80s a fax machine was like the hottest thing so for them they were like well everyone will just have a fax machine right when in reality it's like a fucking fax machine what are you nuts. Even then there's a lot of movies and tv shows you watch or books you read where there is a good chance they're predicting what the future will be like but we just don't know it because we have no idea.
