The Triple Helix of Human Culture, Religion, Science and Magic

There is a common narrative about human history that first we had magic for many thousands of years, then religion, and then finally science came along as the one credible way to understand the world. For me, i think that's a wrong way of looking at things. A belief in magic doesn't make you irrational, don't make you anti science. It's only once you get all three of those that we're allowing ourselves to be fully human.
