Evaluating Aspirin Therapy in Non-Cardiac Surgery for Stent Patients
This chapter reviews a study on the effects of continuing versus stopping aspirin therapy in patients with drug-eluting stents undergoing elective non-cardiac surgeries. The results indicate that discontinuing aspirin may be a safer choice, particularly for procedures with a high risk of bleeding, as there were no significant benefits in continuing the medication.
