The History of Blur Oasis
The album version has a song from Braostop, so I'm not sure if you remember the nice and heat-possilth way. It's sort of about working class dignity and resilience. The biggest days of Blur Oasis, etc., are kind of over by 1997. But I think we were primed in America to be a little more receptive. We listened to a lot of Blur songs with a lot of references that we didn't really understand if we'd never actually been to the UK. So maybe that helped as well, America received this song even if we didn't get all the references buried in the song.
