What Does Covering Really Look Like?
Deepa DeLoit: We know how important and powerful being our true selves at work is, but how do we get comfortable doing so? Deepa mentioned one woman who wanted to bring her black art to the office, but really struggled with whether or not she should. There's actually a concept that captures what she experienced; it's called covering. 61% of respondents said they covered some part of their identity at work.
