The History of the Cabbage Patch Kids
Xavier Roberts created the story that when he was 10 years old, he followed a bumblebee behind a waterfall and was led into a magical cabbage patch. He would brand his own name right onto the little back sides of these dolls to avoid counterfeits. The difference with these is you could find one specifically for you. And I think it's ultimately that idea of customization, which just can't happen in other toys.
