The longest stretch that two teams have started identically to each other over the course of baseball history is 25 games. Every team in baseball history has had a unique first 26 games. The longest sequence according to Ryan Nelson for that is 29 games between the notorious 1899 Cleveland spiders and the 2016 Tampa Bay Rays.
