Kafka: A Log-Based Database
Kafka stores all of the events that occurred on the way. So it feels like a database like holds the state of things. If we lost that inventory database for some, I don't know why, you know, natural disaster, who knows? We could actually build that back up by the orders that we have coming in with Kafka.
