The crash in Odisha that involved 3 trains left at least 288 people dead and thousands injured. Most of the travelers on the ill-fated train had not opted for travel insurance. The Indian Railways exclusively provides you with a 10 lakh rupee insurance at a cost of just 35 pessig. Despite this, just around 50% of railway passengers opt for insurance.
