Is Retrieval Practice Helping Test Anxiety?
A lot of the stuff that bob borke did in the nineties and the early naughties is just a memory test. He basically just said, how much can you remember? And he had people rehearsing and practising lists of information. But we've seen it evaluated since then in lots of different kinds of ways. So i think one of the problems with this general idea is we risk, as cognitive scientists, ignoring motivation. Now, the big dunlasky paper looked at motivation, but we don't always look at that in basic cognitive science. There's nobody who's id of made that connection between those two literatures at this point. I am happy to answer
