The Experience of the World That Is Experienced Doesn't Require a Cortex

Just because something is interesting and comfortable doesn't make it, you know, real or true. It's important to make a distinction between experiencing something and being self-reflectively aware that you're experiencing it. A particular brain network that has fascinated me in my career is the default mode network or in pop-up rating and call it the imagination network. And so, but it's always fascinating to me when people take like Hoosigens or psychedelics and things that alter that brain network.
