The Old Testament Isn't the Old Covenant

i think i upset a whole crowd somewhere in the mid west when I told them that remiah 29 11 is not a promise that can be claimed by north american christians to day. So anyway, a progressive revelation is a real thing, and we have to take that into consideration when we interpret the bible. The old testament includes the old covenant and the story about its failure, but it does not, it is not limited by that. It's just it doesn't respect either jesus or the hebrew scriptures for those designations. To say that the old testament is simply a book of law is to miss fundamentally how the ten commandments begin. That was grace, god id.
