Aristotle's Argument for Motion
Melissus points out that if there is no void, then that will make motion impossible. The whole of ing will be like a train compartment packed so tightly that no one can budge. This was aristotle's view. Other response would be to say that except in the london underground at rush hour, no place is totally full. There is indeed void. Bodies move around in this emptiness, banging into each other. That is more or less what we to day. Of course, we now know that outer space is empty,. but also every physical body down here on earth turns out to consist of more empty space than full space. Or at least that's what i was told
