The King as a Lamp in Jerusalem
In 2 Samuel 21 17, David says he will take the kingdom out of his son's hand. The Septuagint translated that word for lamp in Hebrew as luchnus. Revelation is using that same language to talk about another king who here is the lamb who is Christ and comes down from heaven.
