Jerry Falwell and the Civil Rights Movement

I don't know how much of the story that Jerry Falwell made up about himself is actually real or true. He framed his change as entirely an internal revelation. For me, it was a scriptural and personal realization that segregation was evil. I realized it was not taught in the Bible. It's weird that he doesn't give credit to the civil rights movement. Martin Luther King had nothing to do with me letting black people into my church. That's still so racist.
